At Ocular, we build infrastructure to monitor generative engines. We understand that in the era of AI, data is your most critical asset. This Privacy Policy outlines our clinical approach to data collection, processing, and security. We operate with strict minimalism: we only collect the telemetry required to provide and secure our services.

TL;DR: We collect standard account and billing data. We do not sell your data. Your proprietary API logs and brand tracking metrics are siloed and strictly confidential.

1. Information We Collect

A. Account & Infrastructure Data When you deploy Ocular, we collect necessary account information including names, work email addresses, and billing details (processed securely via Stripe).

B. Telemetry & Integration Data To provide our Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) metrics, we process data you explicitly route to us. This includes:

Specific search prompts and keywords you track.
API request logs, IP addresses, and user-agent data for security and rate-limiting.
Configuration data for webhooks and internal dashboard integrations (e.g., Slack, Looker).

2. How We Process Your Data

Ocular does not use your private tracking data to train public AI models. We use the information we collect strictly to:

Provide real-time Share of Voice (SOV) and sentiment analysis.
Authenticate API requests and maintain system stability.
Send intrusion alerts and critical infrastructure updates.
Detect and prevent unauthorized API abuse or malicious scraping.

3. Third-Party Subprocessors

We rely on enterprise-grade infrastructure partners to maintain our sub-second latency. We share minimal data with these subprocessors under strict confidentiality agreements:

Cloud Infrastructure: Amazon Web Services (AWS) / Google Cloud.
Payment Processing: Stripe, Inc.
LLM APIs: OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google (strictly for querying public data on your behalf; your account data is never sent to these models).

4. Data Retention & Deletion

You own your data. If you terminate your Ocular subscription, all associated tracking telemetry, API logs, and account details are permanently purged from our primary servers within 30 days, in accordance with SOC 2 compliance standards. You may request manual deletion at any time by contacting our engineering team.
